Music Program

The EARJ Band Program has a long history of outstanding performance and honors. EARJ bands have successfully represented EARJ in many countries and have competed in musical cometitions in France, Chile, Italy, Argentina, Equador, Venezuela, Switzerland and in the Caribbean.


New beginners, enthusiasm, and a fresh wave of involvement pervade the atmosphere in today’s music department. With the cycle of the years, players have come and gone and left their mark in the rich tradition that is EARJ’s music, and students are encouraged to be a part of this tradition. Visiting the Music department, you will probably come across students and teachers relaxing together, making music. Here is a place where each musician is challenged and can't wait to accomplish yet another short term goal. Each goal gets the musician closer to fluency. Our musicians will not only read music but they will also be able to play music by ear. We need to grow balanced and prepared for different situations. Playing together we develop that all-important skill of really listening to others and to ourselves; something sadly lacking in the rush of modern life. Drawing from the counterpoint of local and international styles, we strive to give our students a part to play in this captivating world of Music.
